		<![CDATA[<p>NUI Galway&rsquo;s Alumni Association is holding a golf outing in Galway Bay Golf Club in Oranmore on Friday, 8 June from 3-5pm.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

This two-day Conference will provide practical insights how best business, academics and policy makers on the island of Ireland can exploit Industry-University research, development and innovation to best effect in context of our economic recovery.</div>

	<title><![CDATA[The Regulation of Continental Shelf Development: Present Status and Future Directions ]]></title>

		<![CDATA[<div>The School of Law is co-organising and co-sponsoring a conference on &ldquo;The Regulation of Continental Shelf Development: Present Status and Future Directions&rdquo; which will take place from 20 to 22 June 2012 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Conference is co-organized with leading specialist research institutes at the University of Virginia, Dalhousie University, the National University of Singapore, the Korean Maritime Institute, Bergen University, and McInnes Cooper Halifax.<br />The conference is the 36th Annual Conference of the Center of Oceans Law and Policy at UVa and brings together international experts to examine a broad range of pressing regulatory matters concerning offshore industries in light of the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.<br />NUI Galway was also the principal organiser and co-hosted the 30th Annual COLP Conference on &ldquo;Law, Science and Ocean Management&rdquo; held at Dublin Castle in 2006.<br />Conference proceedings will be published by Martinus Nijhoff. 		<![CDATA[<div>The 2012 Sino-European Symposium on Environment and Health (SESEH 2012) provides an internationally leading platform for interaction between scientists, consultants, and public servants engaged in the multi-disciplinary areas of environment and health. With the fast economic growth, the importance of environment and health is widely recognized in China, and China welcomes international experts for collaboration. This symposium provides an opportunity for a direct communication between experts from China and the rest of the world, and helps to foster and develop international collaborations with China, the 2nd largest economy of the world.</div>
