The Ryan Institute Travel Support Scheme is intended to facilitate the participation of Ryan Institute researchers in attending and participating in international conferences, workshops, summer schools or research visits to laboratories.  When applying to this scheme you should be able to show that you have explored alternative sources of funding.

Applications are open to PhD students, Research Assistants, Research Associates, Research Masters students and Postdoctoral Researchers who are conducting research relevant to Environmental, Marine and Energy topics. Applicants applying to conferences or workshops must be presenting their work.  Lecturers are not eligible to apply.

The scheme is designed on a rolling call basis, i.e., applications can be submitted at any time but must be received at least 4 weeks before the planned travel date. The applications will be assessed by a committee composed of the Ryan Institute Director, two Deputy Directors, and one other person.  Applications will be assessed once per quarter.

The Travel Support Scheme is Under Review.  Please do  not submit applications until further notice.
