Academic Year 2021-2022

The staff of EOS are planning the delivery of lectures and practicals based on current advice from the Department of Further and Higher Education, Innovation and Science. Lecture halls with greater than 100 capacity will be working at a reduced capacity of 80%. Students will be allocated to lectures and practicals by module coordinators. The allocations will be announced through Blackboard. Please check the indicative timetable by year group for more detail about your course outlined further below.

Earth & Ocean Sciences Timetable 21-22 Semester 1 (Weeks 1-6)

Second Year Earth & Ocean Sciences

Second year EOS comprises three modules - EOS213 Introduction to Oceanography in Semester 1, EOS2102 The Earth: from Core to Crust in Semester 2, and for denominated EOS and EV students only, EOS2101 Introduction to Fieldskills, which is a residential field-based module, in Semester 2.

 The Introductory lecture for EOS213 Introduction to Oceanography will be held at 1pm on Monday 6th September 2021 in lecture theatre MRA201. The session will also be recorded and placed on Blackboard. Students will be asked to sign up for one of two weekly practical sessions on Tuesdays, 2-4pm or 4-6pm. Practicals will commence in week 2.
