Research Assistant

Michael PetroniMichael graduated from the University of St. Andrews with an MSc in Ecosystem Based Management of Marine Systems, where he focused on statistical and spatial ecology for marine management. Prior to this he interned at the International Maritime Organisation (UN) and the EU Fisheries Commissioner’s cabinet.  Currently, as a research assistant for the Cephs and Chefs project, he is focusing on gathering data on cephalopod fisheries from ports, collaborators and research surveys at sea. Using these data, he will help to answer life history and population questions of commercially important cephalopod species and assess the fisheries’ status and sustainability across the Northeast Atlantic.
