Study abroad exchanges

1. John Carroll University (JCU) Study Abroad Scholarship, Ohio, USA (Semester 1 exchange) 

Semester 1 2013/14 Exchange (2 places available)
The College of Science is currently accepting applications from second year science students to spend their first semester of third year at John Carroll University. Successful candidates will travel in September 2013. Successful candidates would be expected to have achieved an overall average of 60% at the first sitting in their first and second year examinations.

The scholarship covers travel, accommodation and tuition fees. To apply please send in a completed application form and a personal statement (see link below) indicating why you would like to participate no later than: FRIDAY, 22nd February 2013. Applications can be emailed to claire.mitchellnuigalway.ie. Please note, final selection of candidates will be by interview. Interviews will take place in mid-March.

2. Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) (Semester 1 and Semester 2 exchanges) 

Semester 1 2013/14 Exchange (2 places available)
The College of Science is currently accepting applications from second year science students to spend their first semester of third year in Hong Kong. Successful candidates will travel in September 2013. Successful candidates would be expected to have achieved an overall average of 60% at the first sitting in their first and second year examinations.

Funding will be provided in the amount of €1000 to cover travel costs and accommodation. HKUST will provide reasonably priced accommodation upon arrival in Hong Kong.

To apply please send in a completed application form and a personal statement (see link below) indicating why you would like to participate no later than: FRIDAY, 22nd February 2013.  Applications can be emailed to claire.mitchellnuigalway.ie. Please note, final selection of candidates will be by interview.  Interviews will take place in mid-March.
