Why Environment and Sustainability at NUI Galway?
NUI Galway offers you a wide range of taught postgraduate courses in the area of environment and sustainability. These courses provide a theoretical background and practical experience to show why environmental sustainability matters to us all.
Our courses explore the causes and impacts of environmental damage and what the pressures on natural resources mean for the prosperity of the planet. The UN Sustainable Development Goals set out what we need to do to secure a healthy planet. Our courses enable you to investigate how all sectors are responding to address the social, political, and environmental challenges set out by the UN.
All of our courses are designed to provide you with a multi-disciplinary experience of to investigate ways to overcome the challenges facing the environment. Exploring processes to support a resilient environment is at the heart of environmental courses at NUI Galway.
Our courses are open to students from a variety of backgrounds including science, geography and engineering.
