Ann Walsh
Ann Walsh, graduated from NUI Galway with a B. Comm (1990) and MBS (1992). On graduating she undertook a one year internship with
The Irish Trade Board before going on to work as an account executive with
DanteBriscoe, in a leading graphic design and multi-media company based in Dublin and London. As Marketing Manager for
Infopoint Systems Irl. Ltd, a software development company in the global interactive touchscreen arena, Ann was involved in corporate fundraising rounds from both private equity and venture capital markets. She later worked as EMEA Marketing Communications and then EMEA Product Manager for
Herbalife Europe Ltd., in the health and personal care industry before returning to Ireland to work in the hospitality industry. Ann has also worked extensively with SMEs in the West of Ireland, as a Marketing & Business Development Consultant.
The focus of Ann’s PhD research is on consumer values and their impact on food consumption patterns, with a particular focus on the newly recognised core value,
sustainability, and its impact on the consumption of seafood. The research is being carried out under the supervision of Dr. Declan Fleming as part of the Beaufort Marine Research Awards.
