Niall Farrell

Niall Farrell received a B.Comm and M.Econ.Sc (Economic and Environmental Modelling) from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Niall's topic of research focuses on the Economic Evaluation of Marine-Based Energy Sources. As part of the Beaufort Marine Socio-economic Research Project in SEMRU, this project will disaggregate Teagasc’s Regional Economic Model (RERC-REM) to incorporate the marine and non-marine renewable energy sectors. This framework will then be used to assess aspects pertaining to the economic viability of marine based energy sources. Niall's Supervisors are Dr. Cathal O'Donoghue and Dr. Karyn Morrissey.
