Rebecca Corless
Rebecca is currently a Research Assistant in the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit. She has a B.Comm, a M. Econ. Sc. in Environmental Economics and a Dip. in Community Development Practice, all from NUI Galway. Rebecca joined NUI Galway in November 2010 as a research assistant in the area of marine biotechnology networks in the Atlantic area on the EU INTERREG project ShareBiotech (priority 1 – innovation networks).
Prior to that, she completed a graduate programme with the Marine Institute where she worked in the Strategic Planning and Development Services. She completed an internship with Teagasc whilst preparing her dissertation on the environmental and economic benefits of genetically modified (GM) potato cultivation in Ireland.
