Abstract Submission


Abstract submission/revision is closed!


An abstract must be submitted in English. Abstracts are accepted for poster and oral sessions. Both original and review presentations are welcome. Since the aim of SESEH 2012 is to promote international collaborations with China, you are encouraged to provide a review presentation! For original research, an abstract must contain the following contents: Importance of the work and objectives; Methodologies; Main results and conclusion. Incomplete abstracts will be rejected.

The word limit for an abstract is 250 words. The abstract submission system will automatically count the words. Any abstract with more than 250 words will be automatically rejected!

For ordinary delegates, you are required to choose the most appropriate topic when you submit your abstract online. The topics are listed on the Conference Themes page.

For invited delegates, you are required to choose the corresponding session convenor's name and the session topic. Invited delegates of SESEH 2012 are those who have been invited by a session convenor and their abstracts have been approved by the session convenor for presentation in the organised session. Full list of organized sessions are available on "Organised Sessions" page. Due to the large number of sessions and organized sessions in SESEH 2012, it is important for you to follow this instruction.

All presenting delegates are required to provide a short biography via the online system. The word limit for biography is 50 words. The online system will count the words. Any biography with more than 50 words will be automatically rejected!

Student Awards

Postgraduate students are welcome to attend and submit abstracts for poster and oral presentations. The recognised “Student” status in SESEH 2012 is a student currently registered in a university or a research institute who has not been awarded a PhD degree by the date of June 30, 2012.  Prizes will be awarded to the best oral and poster presentations of students. For student submissions, please make sure that both contents and quality of your abstract have been approved by your supervisor!

Publication of full papers

SESEH 2012 is an internationally top conference in the field of environment and health. Delegates have been invited to submit their full papers to a special issue of Environmental Geochemistry and Health and a special section of Environmental Pollution. Detailed instructions have been emailed to all delegates following the conference.
