Profile

Apart from my critical analysis of public affairs, I also pursue intellectual interests in philosophy and history; culturally, I listen regularly to classical and jazz music, read classic and contemporary poetry and fiction, and watch non-Anglophone films. In terms of sport and relaxation, I am a keen GAA fan, an occasional angler - and keep-fit cyclist and hill walker.
