The Babel Lectures: ’Tradition and Transformation’

The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, NUI Galway, presents The Babel Lectures: ’Tradition and Transformation’, a public lecture series that takes place on the 31^st of January, 28^th of February and the 27^th of March in the Town Hall Theatre Studio.

On the 31^st of January, Prof Bill Richardson will be delivering his paper ’Tradition and Transformation: Jorge Luis Borges and the Meaning of Life’. 

On the 28^th of February, Dr Lillis Ó Laoire will be delivering his paper ’Transforming Tradition: The Career of Joe Heaney, Sean-nós Singer 1919-1984’.

On the 27^th of March, Dr Jacopo Bisagni will be delivering his paper ’“Returning” to Babel: Where Did Human Languages Really Come From?’
