New Student Exchange Programme between NUIG and Chilean Universities
On 14 June 2012, a group a students and staff from NUIG visited the Chilean embassy in Dublin. The occasion proved to be a fruitful one. During a meeting with the students, Consul Cristián Oschilewski and Professor Bill Richardson spoke at length about Chile and the importance of taking advantage of the opportunity of the new student exchange programme between NUIG and Chilean universities. The programme marks an exciting new development for NUIG’s Latin American Studies, as the course continues to offer students exciting new ways of learning about the unique cultures of Central and South America.
The programme will be inaugurated with four BA and two postgraduate students of Latin American Studies availing of the opportunity to go to Chile for a year to learn the language, culture and to continue their research in their respective areas of interests.
