Timothy Collins is Director of the Centre for Landscape Studies, which he co-founded with the late Prof. Pat Sheeran in 1990. A graduate in marine sciences, Tim has published much on the subject of Irish science, especially natural history and bibliography. Both as a researcher and teacher, Tim has also ensured that the Centre has been an active part of many projects both on and off campus. Current programmes which he is involved in are the New Survey of Clare Island with the Royal Irish Academy, as well as supporting various modules in NUI, Galway’s Earth and Ocean Sciences BSc programmes.
