FÁS Work Placement Programme (WPP) & JobBridge scheme NUI Galway
NUI Galway welcomes and supports the following schemes:
- FÁS Work Placement Programme (WPP)
- JobBridge scheme (the Government's new National Internship scheme as part of its Job Initiative Programme)
Colleges, Schools, Support Service Units, and Research Institutes are invited to submit applications for placements under either scheme.
FÁS Work Placement Programme (WPP)
The WPP is Government supported and brings employers and the unemployed together for a work placement experience for a
maximum duration of nine months. The FÁS Work Placement Programme is open to both Graduates and Non-Graduates.

JobBridge Scheme
The JobBridge scheme is the Government's new National Intership scheme as part of its Job Initiative Programme. The JobBridge scheme will
provide work experience placements of 6 or 9 months for unemployed individuals in organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors. It will be a time-limited scheme for a maximum of 2 years. Applications for internships will be accepted from July 1st 2011 until June 30th 2013.
