The Centre for Cell Manufacturing Ireland will launch on Monday 27th January 2014
In a cutting-edge innovation, the first Irish Centre for Cell Manufacturing will be launched at NUI Galway on Monday 27th January. The Centre will be launched by Minister for Research and Innovation, Mr Sean Sherlock T.D. at The Atrium, Orbsen Building, NUI Galway. The Centre for Cell Manufacturing at NUI Galway will be the first facility on the island of Ireland to be licensed to manufacture cultured stem cells for human use.
For the first time in Ireland, the Centre for Cell Manufacturing has been established at NUI Galway and licensed to manufacture stem cells for use in human clinical trials. This provides further confirmation of the University’s leadership in world-class biomedical research and positions Ireland as a strategic global leader in the new technology of Regenerative Medicine.
