International (Non-EU) Scholarships

National University of Ireland, Galway is committed to attracting high calibre students from around the world.

To this end, the University offers a range of merit based scholarships to eligible students from a number of priority countries, including Canada, China, India and the United States.

Undergraduate Non-EU Scholarships

 Value

€1,000 (Tuition Waiver)

The scholarship is awarded as one off partial tuition fee waiver, applied at registration. It is not a cash award. Awards cannot be transferred or deferred.
Number of Awards  Up to 10 awards may be made.
Eligibility  Applicants must
  • be in receipt of an offer of admission for a full time Undergraduate degree programme of the following Colleges, for entry September 2013:
    • Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies
    • Business Public Policy and Law
    • Engineering and Informatics
    • Science
  • be Canadian or US nationals, not normally resident within the EU
  • be categorised as non-EU for fees purposes
  • be categorised a new entrants to NUI Galway (students previously enrolled on a programme are not eligible).
Applications Open  21 January 2013
 Closing Date

Applications must be submitted on the official ISS Application Form form by 3 May 2013.

Successful applicants will be notified by 17 May 2013.

Eligibility  Applicants must
  • be in receipt of an offer of admission for an eligible full time Taught Master's degree programme‌ for entry September 2013.
  • be Canadian, Chinese, Indian or US nationals, not normally resident within the EU.
  • be categorised as non-EU for fees purposes.
  • be categorised a new entrants to NUI Galway (students previously enrolled on a programme are not eligible).
