Study Abroad at NUI Galway
Our popular Study Abroad Programme offers students enrolled at a recognised overseas university or college the opportunity to spend a semester or a year at NUI Galway.
As a Visiting student, you can tailor your selection of classes from across our wide range of disciplines, to meet your individual academic requirements. While attending NUI Galway as a visiting student, you can earn credits towards your degree back home.

NUI Galway welcomes applications from international students who wish to undertake their full undergraduate degree at NUI Galway. We offer a combination of flexible ‘open’ degree programmes, as well as specialised courses for students who know exactly what they wish to study at university.
Many of our programmes are unique in Ireland, such as those in Human Rights, Creative Writing, Theatre and Performance and Marine Science and we also offer certain programmes in Law and Medicine which are often not available at undergraduate level in other countries.
