Childcare facilities in the community

The University Creche

        This building has been designed, furnished and equipped to the highest standards for children from three months to five years.

The creche caters for 100 children; facilities include a baby room, 2 wobbler room ,2 toddler rooms, 3 Montessori rooms and Afterschool.


        We would advise all prospective parents to reserve your place as soon as possible as places are given on a first come first served basis.The creche is located just off campus at No. 50 Upper Newcastle Galway, close to Corrib Village. Childcare subsidy

          The childcare subsidy is made to students who qualify to help them with the costs of childcare. Funding comes from the Student Assistance Fund. To be eligible for this subsidy, you must be attending a course of at least one year's duration leading to an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.  For further information please check out our
