parking permits for 2011/2012

Dear Staff and Students,

From 5^th September 2011, a new online parking permit payment system will be in place, which can be accessed via the Buildings Office website at www.nuigalway.ie/parking

Please note that you will be required to login, using your normal NUI Galway username/password authentication.  This is a new security feature of the service developed in conjunction with ISS and HEAnet.

If you had a valid permit last year, you can use the system to pay for re-validation.  If you require a new permit (or are applying for the first time), then you will have to pay and then bring certain documents to collect your permit from the Parking & Information Office on the Arts/Science Building concourse. (More information available on www.nuigalway.ie/parking)

There is a grace period of the entire month of September, during which your permit from last year will be valid.  Also during September only, eligible NUI Galway staff can avail of a payroll deduction option.  This will not be available after the 30^th September. The charges are the same as last year (€50 for staff, €45 for students).
