E-PUB
What is e-PUB?
The Alcohol e-PUB (Personal Use Barometer) is an interactive web resource that allows students to enter information about their drinking patterns and receive feedback about their use of alcohol. The assessment takes about 6-7 minutes to complete, is self-guided, and is completely confidential.
Why
should I use it? I haven't got a problem with alcohol.
Even if you don’t drink
alcohol, or drink within the recommended
low-risk guidelines,
e-PUB will help you identify key
personal risk factors and see specific patterns that can lead to dangerous or
destructive drinking. It also provides you with information about supports on
campus that can help you or a friend. It
is likely that you know someone – a classmate, a friend, family member, or team
mate – who drinks at levels that may be harmful or cause concern. Taking good
care of ourselves and supporting our friends are actions that help to
strengthen the NUI Galway community.
What does it do?
When you access the Alcohol e-PUB, you are prompted to enter information about yourself. It will ask you to enter information about yourself, your drinking habits, and family history.
After all information has been entered, you submit the form. The information you entered is then validated and processed. Then, your personalized feedback is displayed in an easy-to-read format.

Do you know that drinking a modest couple of glasses of wine a day is the equivalent of 17 cheeseburgers a month?" .........
