Prof. Paul V. Murphy , School of Chemistry

Prof. Murphy's current research interests include the synthesis of natural products and analogues as tumour growth and angiogensis inhibitors. Design and synthesis of peptidomimetics based on macrocycles and carbohydrate scaffolds as new anti-cancer agents. Prof. Murphy’s research group currently has 10 members, 7 PhD students and 3 Postdoctoral Fellows and is interested in organic synthesis and bioorganic chemistry. Facilities include HPLC, high field NMR and LCMS.
