	President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins finds Alma Mater in Global Village The relocation of NUI Galway’s Quadrangle to the Global Village last week, created somewhat of a stir locally where the University created a partial replica of its Quadrangle building, to front its Pavilion at the Global Village during the Volvo Ocean Race. ‌	NUI Galway Support First Student Entry in 2012 Round Ireland Yacht Race A crew of NUI Galway students and graduates are, for the first time ever, entering this year’s Round Ireland sailing race. ‌‌	NUI Galway Student Named Assistant Co-ordinator for Volunteers for Volvo Ocean Race Sheila Dunleavy, who designed and developed the Operational procedures for the Volvo Ocean Race as her final-year project at NUI Galway, has secured a paid position as Assistant Co-ordinator for Volunteers. Sheila from Claregalway, Co. Galway, has just completed her Degree in Project and Construction Management at NUI Galway.
