Bruce E. Kaufman is Professor of Economics at Georgia State University in Atlanta GA, USA. His research areas are labor economics, industrial relations, human resource management. He has published sixteen books and many dozen of book chapters and journal articles. His latest book, published in July 2008, is Managing the Human Factor: the Early Years of Human Resource Management in American Industry. Professor Kaufman is also co-editor of Advances in Industrial and Labour Relations and co-chair of the IR Theory Group of the International Industrial Relations Association.
