Global Women’s Studies Programme Lunch-Time Seminar Series 2010/2011

The Global Women’s Studies Programme (GWSP) in the School of Political Science and Sociology will kick-off its 2010/2011 Seminar Series with its first session on Monday on 15 November 2010 with a talk from Dr. Kelly Coate of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching. Each month throughout the 2010/2011 academic year the seminar series will showcase the work of researchers, academics and students with a gender-focus from within the GWSP and the NUI Galway community at large. All are invited to attend these public seminars. In addition to the Lunch-Time Seminar Series the GWSP will shortly announce details of its 2010/2011 evening Public Lecture Series starting on Thursday, 9 December.

Topic: Ireland, Alcohol, and Sexual Violence against Women

Extended lunch-time seminar in recognition of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence. This seminar is held in conjunction with the Rape Crisis Network Ireland and supported by the BA CONNECT in Global Women’s Studies. A reception will follow.
