New Issues Paper on Gender-Based Violence, Poverty and Development
The launch of an issues paper
Keeping Gender on the Agenda: Gender Based Violence, Poverty and Development was held on November 6, 2009, at the Ivy House in Dublin under the auspices of the Joint Consortium on Gender Based Violence. Dr. Nata Duvvury, who authored the paper, made a presentation of key findings at the launch. Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, welcomed the paper and recommended the paper be widely circulated internationally. The Minister for European Affairs, Dick Roche, also welcomed the paper as an important input to Irish Aid’s development programs.
