Profile
Born in Drumkeerin Co Leitrim, Mary has lived most of her life close to Galway City.
She is a lecturer at NUIG in Drama and Theatre Studies and is Director of
Arts in Action, a programme specially designed for students at NUIG and that features illustrated performances and lectures in all of the art forms.
She has been a professional arts practitioner and producer for theatre, music and television. She is a professional artist and singer who regularly tours in Ireland, the UK, and Europe, and has released two highly praised albums,
The Holland Handkerchief (2005) and
Petticoat Loose (2008). She is currently preparing a new album of traditional and original songs due for release in 2010. For more information, click
