Spring Courses

Our Spring courses are only open to those who apply for Autumn courses but are unsuccessful in securing  a place. If you think you might be interested in attending courses during our Spring term you must submit an application in September.

Application process

To apply for a place in the Youth Academy parents must complete an online application form.

The Youth Academy will be in touch with those who did not get a place in our October courses to let them know the process for Spring.

Places will be allocated by random selection in January 2020. Not everyone that applies will get a place due to the volume of applications received.

Further information on our application and selection policy is available here: Application and Selection Policy

 Eligibility Requirements

To attend our courses students need to show high academic ability in English or Maths in standardised tests (Drumcondra, Sigma or Micra T) carried out annually in schools. Eligibility is based on their most recent tests (i.e Summer 2019)

Students need to get:

  • STen score of 9 or 10
  • Standardised score of 123 or above
  • Be in 95th percentile or above

Proof of your child's test result needs to be submitted along with their application. These results must be uploaded to the application form. Applications received without test results will be deemed incomplete.

Test results can be found on your child's school report card. If they are not listed on the report card you can get them from your child's school.
