Welcome to Zoology

We aim to strive for academic excellence in teaching and research, to facilitate students in their study of Zoology, and to ensure that students have complete freedom of enquiry. The courses focus on providing students with a systematic understanding of animal biodiversity and evolution, a knowledge of the interactions between animals and their environments and of the processes and mechanisms associated with animal development

As well as providing a B.Sc. (Hons.) course in Zoology, we participate in the denominated degree courses of Environmental Science, Marine Science, and Earth and Ocean Sciences. Our research record embraces many aspects of Zoology, particularly in the areas of ecology and evolution.
