Biography

D. James Zhang is an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management in the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at University of Galway. James obtained his PhD from the Faculty of Economics and Business, the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. His dissertation mainly involves social network analysis in the auditing context. Before joining the University of Galway, he completed a postdoc project in Supply Chain Management, with a focus on disruption management in supply networks, in the group Operations, Planning, Accounting and Control (OPAC), the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands. Accordingly, his research mainly involves network analysis in the supply-chain context. His research has appeared in the ABS journal such as Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory. His research has been accepted for presentation in different conferences, including European Operations Management Association (EUroMA), Production and Operational Management Society (POMS) conference, American Accounting Association (AAA) Annual Meeting, European Accounting Association (EAA) Annual Congress, among others. He also received a reviewer award for Organization and Management Theory (OMT) division, Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting. His teaching interests are mainly related to Supply Chain Management.
