Welcome to Buildings & Estates
Fáilte chuig Foirgnimh agus Eastáit
Welcome to the Buildings & Estates website. We hope that it provides valuable information to all staff, students and visitors on how to access and use our varied services. We welcome your feedback through our Helpdesk.
NUI Galway’s campus comprises an extensive portfolio of 97 properties ranging in age from 1 to over 165 years old, sited on 104 hectares.
The main campus extends from the city centre to Dangan, a distance of 2.8 km along the banks of the River Corrib. There are a number of properties situated a distance from campus, e.g. Carraroe, Carron, Carna, Finnevara, Gweedore, Castlebar, Letterkenny and Shannon.
As our recent capital programme draws to a conclusion, the emphasis changes to regenerating our existing buildings. Throughout this process, we will align with the University’s vision of creating a sustainable and universally accessible campus, where all resources are used optimally and efficiently, and where facilities are managed as effectively as possible. Great credit is due to our staff who deliver services to the University community every day on a greatly expanded campus with ever-tightening resources.
We endeavour to continuously improve our services. We hope that you will find this website informative and user friendly.
