30% Club Scholarship
Two Scholarships in Technology Management for 2020
The Centre for Adult Learning & Professional Development at NUI Galway is delighted to announce, that it will again be supporting the development of female leadership in the technology sector, by offering scholarships to eligible women. This year there will be two scholarships available for the MSc in Technology Management, starting in September 2020. The scholarships aim to advance female leadership and increase diversity in technology organisations and all high-tech environments.
Each scholarship is valued at €7,900, which is 50% of the fee for the MSc in Technology Management, and will be awarded on a competitive basis. The scholarship is awarded in conjunction with the 30% Club. Globally, the 30% Club is establishing partnerships with Universities to rectify the under-representation of women at senior levels in organisations, particularly apparent in the technology sector. One of the mechanisms being employed to achieve this is by supporting women to undertake postgraduate technology courses.
Gillian Harford, Country Executive for the 30% Club Ireland, commented:“Providing focused support for female talent is one of the key pillars of our strategy and we know how important and impactful executive education is for senior career progression. We are immensely grateful to NUI Galway for their very generous support in the provision of the Executive MBA and MSc in Technology Management scholarships – the latter being particularly important in supporting greater numbers of senior talented women in STEM”.

Emma Kilduff, a software development manager in MetLife Innovation Centre was awarded the MSc scholarship.
The 30% Club scholarship will be offered on the basis of a scholarship statement and interview. Scholarship statements should be submitted as part of your course application. Applications for the MSc in Technology Management scholarship are now open and will close 31st July 2020. Scholarship applicants must have been offered or be eligible for a place on the MSc in Technology Management before being considered for this funding. About the MSc in Technology Management
The MSc in Technology Management aims to develop leaders who can leverage technology to drive strategic initiatives and approaches. It focuses on the potential of technology to improve people’s lives by; optimising operations and processes and freeing up people to do what they are best at; enabling new thinking and new approaches; developing innovative products, processes and services that improve health, communication, sustainability, learning, research, safety, prosperity and enrich lives. At its core is people centred design and decisions.
The MSc is delivered part time over two years by blended learning, including online delivery and workshops one Saturday per month. Launched in January 2015, the aim of the 30% Club Ireland is to achieve better gender balance and diversity at all levels in Irish businesses. The 30% Club is a collaborative business-led effort to make real change in Ireland, aiming towards 30% female representation in senior management by 2020.
