Travel and Subsistence Workshop

This is a practical course which allows you to enter a Travel and Subsistence expense claim on agreeso on line, test system for NUIG staff and scholarships students. We will answer queries in relation to using agresso on line and the NUIG T&S Polices and Procedures.
 
To assist staff and scholarships students to enter travel expenses on agresso on line and make claimants aware of the NUIG T&S Policies and Procedures available on http://www.nuigalway.ie/payroll/travel-&-subsistence-expenses/
 
Practical exercises using agresso on line
Exercise 1 - Submit electronic claim on test system
Exercise 2 - How to check the status of your claim
Exercise 3 -  How to deal with a rejected claim
Exercise 4 - How to enter Triennial Travel Grant Claim for Academic Staff only
 
Prerequisites:
To have a 6 digit payroll or scholarship ID and to read the NUIG T&S Policies QA 302 Policy for claiming Travel & Subsistence costs, QA 303 use of own transport and Code of Conduct for staff .

Recruiting Postgraduate Students Workshop

This workshop is aimed at postgraduate Programme Directors, Heads of Discipline, Heads of School and other staff members involved in the recruitment of domestic postgraduate students. It is primarily intended for those recruiting taught postgraduate students: but may be useful for research supervisors also.

This workshop will;
  1. Assist you in identifying your PG recruitment objectives.
  2. Outline the annual cycle of institutional recruitment activity and the promotional platforms available to your programmes.
  3. To guide you in developing an audience-centred strategic recruitment plan specific to your objectives. 
  4. To introduce a suite of recruitment and marketing tools that can be adapted and applied in line with your skillset, budget and other resources.
Attendance at the workshop assumes you have an active role in postgraduate recruitment and/or marketing, and that you have some expert knowledge of your programme, its target audiences, its recruitment aims, etc.


It also assumes you have some familiarity with the CRM-Recruit Ellucian postgraduate application system.

Audience:  Staff must have completed the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Procurement Workshops before attending this course
Specifically designed for staff involved in purchases greater than €25,000.  
National Tendering applies for purchases valued between €25,000 and €209,000.
