Biography

Agnes has worked as a lecturer in Nursing at NUIG since 2002.  She is a qualified General nurse and Psychiatric nurse and is also qualified as a Nurse Tutor.  She did here degree in nursing studies in UCD and then followed this with her Masters in Education here at NUIG.
Agnes has a keen interest in teaching and learning and enjoys the opportunity her job give her to interact with students on her programme but also the opportunities to work with those in the clinical areas.  Her teaching interests lie in the area of mental health and research.  Her research interests lie in the area of mental health and illness and also in clinically based studies and evaluation studies.  Agnes is currently studying for her PhD and her research for this is developing and evaluating and structured education programme for the management of Generalised Anxiety Disorder in the primary care arena.
