Biography

I trained in U.C.D in Medicine and quailified with an honours based degree, MB BAO BCH in 2003
I then worked in Emergency Medicine in Melbourne Australia for a year
I took a vocational training scheme in General Practice in Limerick and finished this with a MICGP in 2008
I also have a MRCPI from Royal College of Physicians and have worked previously as a registrar in Stroke Medicine. I have completed a Masters in Medical Education from University of Dundee. 
I work part time as a G.P and part time as an academic. I have previously been module leader for the UG GP Course and the Clinical Skills Module in Year 4 but am currently focused on research especially in the area of 'Resistant Hypertension' and am in the process of completing an MD (Doctorate)

I also have an A.T.C.L, which is an Associative Diploma in Teaching of Drama  from Trinity Guildhall London along with a Certificate in Performance from Trinity Guildhall also. I have previously (2011-2014) founded an SSM based on Drama/Voice and emotional honesty.

Module Leader for GP U.G. Year 4 Course/placements & Clinical Skills module(2012-2015). I played a central role in curriculum development/change for an expanded student cohort during this period.I also undertook the lead in the academic simplification process where our teaching/assessment module changed from 'GP' to 'Primary care and Mental Health'.Current role as a lecturer as I undertake my Research MD.
