Step 1 | Volunteers can choose to participate in any of the above programmes in the application form located here: Volunteer Expression of Interest Form |
Step 2 | Volunteers MUST download and complete the E-vetting invitation required by law in order to begin the Garda Vetting process. This can be accessed here: Garda E-Vetting Document |
Step 3 | Complete downloaded form and submit with copy of identification eg. Student Card to Grainne Morahan (Grainne.Morahan@nuigalway.ie) |
Step 4 | You will then receive an email from Galway Volunteer Centre with a form attached to complete and return to their office for completion of Garda Vetting process. |
Step 5 | On receipt of confirmation of vetting process from Galway Volunteer Centre that you have been vetted, Grainne Morahan will then contact you to advise of volunteering opportunities as per your choice selection. |
There is flexibility in the time commitment from volunteers and should therefore suit most students' time schedules. Please contact 091 493298 or email grainne.morahan@nuigalway.ie for further details. The Access Centre works in partnership with ALIVE Student Volunteering programme and encourages student volunteers to take part in this support programme.
