COVID-19 continues to have a huge impact on our daily lives. With the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Centre for Adult Learning and Professional Development has decided to move its classroom-based courses and blended learning courses to a fully online teaching mode for Semester 1 of the academic year 2020/21. The Semester 2 teaching schedule will be reviewed over the coming months in line with public health and safety advice guidelines.

This decision has been made to ensure the safety of students & staff and our desire to continue to provide the highest quality, upskilling and professional development opportunities for our students. The Centre has been providing blended and online learning courses for adult learners over 20 years. It’s administrative and teaching staff are well positioned to move to this fully online teaching mode.

Course content is available in a self-instructional, interactive format. Live teaching webinars and questions and answers sessions (synchronous), will be coupled with other asynchronous learning activities which students can undertake in their own time.

Visit our online learning section for more information and check out our COVID-19 FAQ webpage for further updates.

We are looking forward to welcoming our first year students in September for orientation and course commencement and also our returning students who are continuing their studies at NUI Galway.
