Booking an appointment with the Career Development Centre

Submit a query on Careers Connect

If you would like specific careers support or have a question for the CDC team please raise a query outlining your request and we will get in touch with you through the most appropriate channel for your needs. Please note, if you are working on your CV, we have details on how to get support on the sharepoint link below.

Trouble accessing Careers Connect? To access you need to be registered for the current academic year and use your usual student details to log in. Please wait a day after you register to use Careers Connect.

We are also running numerous events and drop-ins, please see our events calendar as there may be an event relevant to your query.
Check out upcoming events here (students must be logged into their Office365 account to access).

The CDC have also made many resources available to our students on your Careers-information for students sharepoint. To access you will need to be logged into your Office365 account.

Appointments are available in-person (on campus in the Career Development Centre), on MS Teams (video or voice), or by email.
If you are on campus, you can also book an appointment by visiting the CDC in person during our office hours.

During semester, appointments are restricted to current, registered students only. If you have just graduated (or are one of the most recent 3 graduating years) then create a profile on the graduate section of Careers Connect. If you have not yet registered for the current academic year, please wait until you have done so before attempting to use Careers Connect.

Using MS Teams

All students have access to MS Teams through your Office 365 account but you might find it better to download the app into your device or laptop. Here are some tips for setting it up MS Teams appointment setup

CV & Interview

For those students interested in meeting someone to discuss their CV or interview, please see the Careers information for students sharepoint site to choose the most relevant option for your needs. Or browse our web pages offering advice and resources.

We are delighted to bring two great online tools to students - CareerSet for those working on their CV and cover letter and which helps with targeting both to a specific role, and BigInterview for those looking to become more confident at interviewing. See the sharepoint above for full details.
