Organised by Dr Veronica McCauley, (@VMcC_ScienceEd) lecturer in Science Education, NUI Galway, in conjunction with the Irish Science Teachers Association.   This, the first many events hosted in the School of Education for science teachers for the academic year 2018-19, invited science teachers and educators to come to a seminar designed by practicing teachers in conjunction with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT).

This workshop ‘Energy in Action' welcomes local science junior cycle science teachers, and it’s focus is on Energy Efficiency.  It provides teachers with guidance on how to explore the Nature of Science strand with their students; as investigative, problem solving and design skills are incorporated throughout.

This event was open to all science teachers and took place on Thursday 20th September 7-9pm, D102, Education Building, School of Education, NUI Galway.
