Visit the University's Courses Page for information on how to apply, entry requirements, career options and assessment. Archaeology at N.U.I. Galway has a strong commitment to graduate research and offers four graduate study programmes to suitably qualified applicants.

We offer our graduate research students extensive individual and group supervision. Technical support is being provided for fieldwork, and structured modules offer possibilities to upgrade practical skills in, for example, GIS or geophysical surveying (see: Archaeology Graduate Research Student Handbook 2019-2020).

These programmes will provide students with more in-depth knowledge and understanding of the past. As part of the programmes students will acquire increased analytical skills, and you are  offered possibilities to learn valuable practical skills such as GIS, oral presentation and academic writing.
