Covid-19 Information and Advice
Covid-19 Information for Students 2021/2022
Please keep up-to-date on a regular basis with the latest University information and advice about Covid-19 and returning to campus at http://www.nuigalway.ie/alert/
Our number one priority at all times will be the health and safety of students and staff. We look forward to welcoming you on campus and we are committed to, maximising and optimising the on-campus experience for students in the coming academic year subject to Government policy and public health guidelines. Working back from our planned return to campus in September, to be fully vaccinated by then, if you have not done so already, the time to get vaccinated is now.
It is crucial however that you continue to observe best practice to avoid spreading the virus, even if vaccinated. We all have a part to play in keeping our university community safe. At all times, please continue to comply with the prevailing public health advice, with regard to cough etiquette, handwashing and social distancing.
Please do not attend classes or come to campus if you are feeling unwell at any time, and consider taking a Covid-19 test. We expect that the HSE Covid-19 Testing Centre will reopen on campus when students return in September. We will update our university community on how and when to access this service then.
We look forward to meeting with you safely very soon.
