ECS204: Quality Awareness in Early Learning

Learning Outcomes
- Understand of the importance of providing early years services for children and families which are high in quality
- Develop and evaluate high quality programmes and activities for young children
- Possess an in-depth understanding of Síolta – the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education, its underpinning principles and standards
- Display the ability to implement the framework within a childcare setting
- Develop quality improvements strategies within a service to enhance the quality of experiences for all children and staff
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of current childcare legislation in Ireland and its role in supporting quality service provision
- Understand the theoretical and practical importance of establishing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, families and guardians, from the perspective of quality provision
