SC3210: Intercultural Communications 2
Semester 1 and Semester 2 | Credits: 10
The aim of this course is to deepen the analysis of key concepts and issues that relate to intercultural communication. The objective of this course is to assist in the development of the student’s intercultural communication skills by providing further insights into the dynamics of intercultural communication.

Learning Outcomes
- Reflect on his or her own culture and identity
- Explain key concepts related to intercultural communication
- Critically discuss cultural representation in the media
- Recognise the importance of understanding the manner in which he/she communicates interculturally
- Understand different management and communication styles across cultures
- Describe the importance of developing intercultural competence when working in multicultural environments
- Critically evaluate the manner in which he/she uses language in intercultural communication
- Further develop his or her critical thinking skills by analysing issues related to culture, identity, media representation and working in intercultural environments
- Critically evaluate what he or she has learned about intercultural communication
