Facilities

There are many state of the art research laboratories available to the Earthquake Engineering Research Team at NUI Galway. Some of these that are currently being used in the team’s research projects are:

• SL02 Structures Research Lab 2
• SL04 Workshop, inc HP Workshop & Heavy Materials Cutting View
• SL05 Machines Control Lab
• SL07 Materials Lab
• SL09 Design & Build Lab

Through a European Union Transnational Access programme, funded under Framework Programme 7, the Earthquake Engineering Research Team at NUI Galway has access to a large scale shake table in CEA Saclay, France until the end of 2012.

Working closely with colleagues in other European Universities gives us access to valuable data and resources.
