MULCH YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE

Dispose of your old Christmas tree responsibly on campus and help raise funds for the Galway Hospice Foundation.

Bring your old tree to the collection point beside the Alice Perry Engineering Building:

  • From Monday 6 to Saturday 18 January (inclusive)
  • Monday-Friday, 5pm-7pm
  • Saturday 10am-5pm

CRAFT FAIR AND COFFEE MORNING IN AID OF GALWAY’S ANIMAL CHARITIES

  • Thursday, 28 November, 10am-2pm

The Craft Fair & Coffee Morning is back in The Bailey Allen Hall! It is the perfect opportunity to pick up unique presents for friends and family while supporting local artists and craftspeople. Browse the thirty or so stalls while sipping a cuppa and munching on delicious delicacies, all very kindly donated by staff and volunteers, and buy tickets for our monster raffle.

Proceeds go to four very worthy charities who work tirelessly for all the neglected, abandoned and abused animals in the Galway region.

FESTIVE TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

  • Tuesday, 3 December, 3.30pm

Join students, staff, retired staff and friends from the community in the Alumni Plaza (outside the O'Donoghue Centre and the Human Biology Building in the South Campus) as we switch on the festive lights. Free food and festive fruit punch from our campus caterers, with entertainment from our choir and student societies. Wear your festive jumper! Bucket collection for charity on the day.

To help everyone take a bit of a break in the lead up to exams, the Students' Union is organising a series of yoga, meditation and mindful events. Details to come.

SNOWFLAKES & ANGELS
All crafters are invited to join the NUI Galway Knit & Crochet group to make snowflakes and angels! For the office; for the tree; to insert into a craft card to send to a special
friend. Bring your own yarn, hooks and needles (if you have them). Hooks and yarns will also be available.
Donations €5 or more. All proceeds to COPE Galway.
