Integrated Knowledge Translation (iKT) is an approach that seeks to optimise the usefulness and relevance of research by involving those who will use research knowledge from the very beginning of planning process.

Within healthcare research in Ireland, iKT is underexplored. Few existing resources or focused events are tailored to address capacity building. The INTeRACT for Health project, funded by the Health Research Board (HRB), aims to enhance iKT capacity and resources both nationally and specifically for the HBCRG and partners working within Health and Wellbeing in the Health Service Executive (HSE).

The INTeRACT for Health project is funded through a Health Research Board (HRB) Knowledge Exchange and Dissemination Scheme Award led by Professor Molly Byrne and Dr Oonagh Meade at the Health Behaviour Change Research Group (HBCRG) at NUI Galway.

The project aims to enhance iKT capacity and resources both nationally and specifically for the HBCRG and partners working within Health and Well-being in the Health Service Executive (HSE).
