Event Safety Management

NUI Galway successfully hosts many events each year.  In planning and organising such events, the Event Organiser must ensure that safety is managed as an integrated part of the event management.  This is so that all necessary parties will properly ensure the safety of personnel at such events as required by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 s. 12.  This guide on Event Management has been developed by the Buildings & Estates and Health & Safety Office to assist Event Organisers in organising a safe and successful event.  This Student Events Overview sets out some of the specific aspects of student events.
