Access Control Integration (ACI)

Description

The Access Control Integration (ACI) software links Access Control with CORE & Quercus systems by using SQL & ODBC to communicate with the ORACLE databases and staging tables. The ACI software facilitates the allocating of access control rights to groups of users by writing SQL statements (policies) using a GUI that selects a dept-code or course-instance etc. to identify groups of staff or students. The ACI system improves security by updating (Mon to Fri) and reduces the manual process of assigning individual access control rights to staff or students. The project removes the need for the fifty-five EXCEL spreadsheets while also allowing Security to fine tune access control.
