DESCRIPTION

The mobile telephony service provides support for users in acquiring new devices, managing the vendor relationship to ensure value for money for the University and implementing Mobile Device Management to ensure the security of the devices.

HOW TO OBTAIN THIS SERVICE

The How do I order a new device? link describes how a new device can be obtained. For other issues related the mobile telephony service please raise a ticket using the Service Desk Ticketing System.

WHO CAN USE THIS SERVICE

The mobile telephony service is only available for staff members subject to relevant budget holder approval.

PREREQUISITES FOR THE USE THIS SERVICE

Staff members must obtain approval from the relevant budget holder prior to subscribing for mobile account. A Purchase Order is required for the purchase of any new devices.

AVAILABILITY

The mobile network itself is available 24/7 and the support service is available during standard business hours.

COST

The cost varies depending on the device and the usage tariff required. All costs are borne by local cost centres. Please note that new connections and upgrades generally attract an 18 month contract commitment.
