Bio:

Niamh Cahill is a research associate in Discipline of Bacteriology and a member of the Antimicrobial Resistance and Microbial Ecology (ARME) Research Group and the Centre for One Health. Niamh completed a BSc (Hons) in Midwifery in 2015, and a MSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science in 2017. Since joining the ARME group in 2017, she has worked on a variety of different projects including the OneHealth EJP project MedVetKlebs, the EPA/HSE funded project AREST and on an EPA funded research gap analysis on AMR and the Environment in preparation of Ireland’s second One Health Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance 2021-2025 (iNAP2). Niamh is currently working on the Horizon Europe funded project BlueAdapt which aims to examine the impact of climate change on health risks associated with pathogens in the environment.
